and a fractured hip. Surgery was required to pin the broken hip and
the dog was neutered the same day. |

. . Adult male dog brought to vet after being injured by a barbed
wire fence several days earlier. Had a 12-inch-long injury on its
shoulder that required surgery to remove extensive dead tissue and
to drain the infection. Neutered the same day. |

. . Small dog attached by a large dog treated for brain swelling that
was probably the result of severe shaking. Owner agreed to have the
dog spayed if it survived. (Dog was responding well to treatment after
